Setup Voicemail

Overview

Voicemail can be access from a desk phone or thru the webpage.

To access the voicemail Self-Service portal, enter the URL https://vm01.central.edu/inbox/

Instructions

Voicemail from desk phone

  1. From your telephone, pickup the receiver and press the voicemail button. 
  2. The system will request your PIN. The first time you access voicemail to setup your mailbox use the default PIN of 124578, then press pound (#).
  3. You will hear the Self Enrollment to personalize your voicemail box.
  4. You will be ask you to record your name. Record your first and last name, then press pound (#).
  5. You will be asked to record your personal greeting. Press 1 to re-record the standard greeting, then press pound (#).
  6. You will be asked to set a new PIN. Enter your new PIN (a minimum of 4 digits), then press pound (#). Re-enter your new PIN, then press pound (#).
  7. By default you are listed in the directory. Press pound (#) to continue.

Voicemail from any campus phone

  1. From a campus phone, dial 6000. This is the extension to the Unity Connection messaging system.
  2. The system answers with it’s welcome message, “Hello Cisco Unity Connection messaging system...” or requesting the user’s PIN. Immediately press the star (*) key.
  3. Enter your extension number, then press pound (#).
  4. The system will request your PIN. The first time you access voicemail to setup your mailbox use the default PIN of 124578, then press pound (#).
  5. You will hear the Self Enrollment to personalize your voicemail box.
  6. You will be ask you to record your name. Record your first and last name, then press pound (#).
  7. You will be asked to record your standard greeting. Press 1 to re-record the standard greeting, then press pound (#).
  8. You will be asked to set a new PIN. Enter your new PIN (a minimum of 4 digits), then press pound (#). Re-enter your new PIN, then press pound (#).
  9. By default you are listed in the directory. Press pound (#) to continue
