Overview

Interior painting

In order to maintain our quality campus standard for interior finishes, painting is to be completed by Facilities Management staff or an approved licensed contractor retained by Facilities Management. If an employee believes their office space or work area is in need of painting or notices another area on campus that requires attention, a service request should be submitted to Facilities Management.  Facilities Management staff will evaluate the request per Central College guidelines and weigh it against the needs of campus to ensure that spaces in the worst condition and most prominent areas, take precedence over less critical areas. Wall damage repair and paint touch ups are done on a routine basis. Paint selection and color will vary depending upon interior design implications, location, low VOC requirements, approved colors for branding, etc.   Vacated offices are inspected and touched up or painted as needed before occupied.  Student rooms are inspected and touched up or painted as needed over the summer months.

Exterior painting

Exterior painting is to be completed by Facilities Management staff or an approved licensed contractor retained by Facilities Management.  Facilities Management assesses the paint needs of facilities and grounds, per Central College guidelines and prioritize so that spaces in the worst condition and most prominent areas, take precedence over less critical areas.

Facilities Management can address your questions and concerns regarding interior and exterior paint on campus.  Please submit a work request to report paint needs.
