Add PaperCut to a computer

Overview

Adding the PaperCut client allows students to add print queues directly to their computer.

If an employee or student worker has the ability to charge different budgets, PaperCut needs to be installed to select the correct department budget number.

Instructions

Add PaperCut in Windows 

  1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard OR click in the Search bar
  2. Type \\print.central.edu and press enter
  3. Enter username@central.edu and password
  4. Open the PCClient folder
  5. Open the win folder
  6. Double click on client-local-install
  7. PaperCut is added to your computer and allows you to choose a printer and/or department budget.

Add PaperCut on Mac 

  1. Select Go from the Finder
  2. Select Connect to Server...
  3. Type smb://print.central.edu
  4. Open PCClient
  5. Double click the mac folder
  6. Double-click on client-local-install
  7. Click Yes to Install into the Applications Folder
  8. Make sure PCClient is open before printing
