Overview
Remote access to the organizations network is available by connecting your device to VPN GlobalProtect. Click on the appropriate link below for installation steps. Once installed, login with your username and password.
NOTE: You must be granted permission to use remote VPN software. Supervisor needs to contact ITS.
Instructions
Install
- Search your computer for Software Center and Open
*(need to be on campus to install from Software Center)
- Locate and click on VPN GlobalProtect Client
- Click on Install
- Once installed, close the window
- Install the DUO Mobile authentication app on your phone (used for MFA)
Connect
- Launch GlobalProtect
- locate the gray globe in task bar; click on ^ arrow OR Search computer for GlobalProtect
- Portal address is vpn.central.edu, click Connect
- Enter your Central username and password
- Click Connect
- Accept in the DUO app
Disconnection steps
- Click on GlobalProtect icon
- Click Disconnect. (make to disconnected when on campus or not in use)
Troubleshooting
- Make sure DUO notifications are turned on
- Open DUO before connecting
- Open GlobalProtect, click on the 3 bars to select Settings
- Delete User and Portal address
- Try Connecting again
